Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine that has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine.
The practice involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body known as acupoints. By stimulating these points, it can help to balance the flow of energy, or Qi, throughout the body. Acupuncture is commonly used to relieve pain, such as headaches, back pain, and menstrual cramps, but it is also used for a variety of other conditions, including anxiety, depression, and infertility.
Treatments may utilise a combination of acupuncture, Tuina massage, moxibustion, heat lamps, cupping and often simple Qi-gong exercises bringing a dynamic and varied approach to treatment.
Acupuncture is safe and painless when performed by a licensed practitioner, and many people find it to be a helpful and effective form of healthcare.
